A Little Side Trip

Quimpers

Constance and her human had the best possible ending to the Finland trip. The return flight was comfortable, and the suitcases all appeared when and where they were supposed to! Best of all we were met at the airport by a human and Hitty welcoming party.  That airport is still 308 km away from the Quimper Hitty cupboard! So on the way home we stopped in Port Townsend, where we spent our honeymoon exactly 28 years ago…naturally we had to stay at the Quimper Inn Bed and Breakfast!

The human woke up at 3 am and observed that Min and Constance were excited to be together again. They seem to have been bouncing around the room and chattering all night – Constance does not suffer from jet-lag….

From Port Townsend we drove West and Up until we were in the glorious alpine meadows on Hurricane Ridge!

Constance brought her Berry Basket, just in case, but the wild alpine strawberries were only at the flowering stage.

  1. how romantic to end the adventure with a stay at the site of your honeymoon!! Lovely photos of the wonderful scenery…The Country Hittys and I have so enjoyed this whole journey with you. Thank you!!

  2. All the photos and information you and Constance posted for us readers were much appreciated. We all learn a lot from Constance on her travels, both home and abroad. The Bonsai Hittys can hardly wait for Constance’s next trip!
