The Slippery Ice
Hattie found a problem with the cat’s outdoor water supply, which she initially solved by hitting the glassy surface with her fist…
But the next morning it was frozen absolutely solid, immune to Hitty blows.….
.
.
So she and Constance decided to try skating.
.
.
It was fun standing on the cat’s dish of water, but they wanted to whoosh and twirl…
.
.
So they took Min to a nearby very shallow and well-frozen Puddle to enjoy slipping and sliding about.
.
.
After which they warmed themselves with mugs of cocoa. The cat considers Hot Chocolate a good alternative to frozen water, but is skeptical about the marshmallows.
.
.
It looks as if the Hittys are making the most of the cold weather and having a lot of fun. I agree completely that marshmallows are OTT – my kind of cat I expect.
They have enjoyed the cold snap, but the humans and hummingbirds are glad the weather is warming up a smidge.
Goodness this might be the cutest story line yet. I loved them standing atop the frozen water dish wishing to
skate!! And then the puddle!! Made me remember my siblings and I slipping and sliding and pretending to skate
on our frozen pond. In our rubber boots!! Great pictures. Love those little girls.
They do have fun – glad they made you smile!
