Insect Damaged Wefts!
Constance is very concerned to discover that some of the green rug wefts have been badly damaged by ravening insects! She has never seen such enormous mandible impressions!

Mr Hopper was looking for something green to eat, having ravaged the orchid bouquet…The Hittys are alarmed by the enormous mandibles!

While Constance, Patience, Hattie and Rose decamp to recover their equilibrium, Eugenia offers Mr Hopper some tea and biscuits. He is pleased with the cucumber sandwiches – at least they are green!

Eugenia is so brave!!! I must say that Horrid Hetty Hickory is still chuckling over the photo of Hittys in flight! She always enjoys seeing HIttys being menaced. My girls are pleased that the Quimper Hittys have Eugenia to protect them. GREAT photos!! and story!!
I am glad Hetty was amused. Constance and patience are still having palpitations! Eugenia is trying to be pleasant, but the Hopper seems to be a little fussy.
Brave and clever Eugenia! How creative of her to find a way to feed a hungry guest!
Eugenia and Mary Ann would like to keep the peace in the Quimper Hitty Cupboard…it is not an easy task with some guests!
Eugenia is very kind and accepting. I hope that she did not get exhausted making small sandwiches for such a large guest.
Eugenia is kind, she is not herself neglected, but is sympathetic to the odd and awkward visitors.
Love it!
Mr Hopper certainly seemed to love the green wefts. The cucumber sandwiches were well meant but not very filling.
