Mungo to the Rescue
Mungo is distraught – Kilts are being attacked by weavers AND marauding insects!!!
.
.
Constance tries to explain to Mungo that no actual kilts are harmed during the weaving of the kilt mats. Hoping to mollify him further, she goes on to describe her rug-making equipment, especially the weaving swords and the process of sleying the reed.
.
.
Swords and slaying sound good to Mungo – there are still the marauding insects to deal with – and he even has his own Sword!
.
.
Mr Hopper, prepare yourself!

Oh my goodness! Who knew that textiles could bring out so many intricate words as well as weapons. Mungo, is surely a male with his sense of protection and rescue. Great fun, Quimper Hittys.
He’s a would-be hero for kilts and damsels in distress!
Three cheers for Mungo the Brave!
And! I would love to see more pictures of the intriguing little loom!!!! Who made it? It looks enchanting!
Mungo likes that honorific Hip Hip Hooray! We bought the loom in Savonlinna, Finland from a couple who made many tempting pieces of wooden furniture – here’s a link to the blog post about that: https://quimperhitty.wordpress.com/2013/07/27/on-the-way-home-from-finland/
Oh Mungo..you have a huge fan here in Mo .. The Country HIttys think you would be a good guy to have about the house when Hetty Hickory comes to call!! Mungo is such a charmer. Love his courage and battle readiness!
Poor Constance must have her hands full with Mungo and Min not to mention that Hopper.
Mungo the brave is ready to defend the Country Hittys. He is rather far away, but he has heard that the pen is mightier than the sword….he can’t quite believe it, but if you think it would help for him to write to Horrid Hetty, just say the word!
and that reminds me…where is Min??
She became a little giddy after hopping wildly around the house, and Constance put her to bed with a cold cloth on her forehead.
Oh my. Poor Mungo – I can see why his phloem is hot – kilt abuse is enough to upset any Scot! I sure hope that Mr. Hopper flees quickly or he could be in trouble.
Mungo takes his Scottish roots very seriously!
