Così fan tutte
The “live in HD” broadcast from the Metropolitan Opera today is Così fan tutte . No hankies needed for this opera, unless it is to mop up tears of laughter.

Constance was very excited, upon looking at the pre-broadcast bumph, to notice that she has a dress very similar to the ones worn by Fiordiligi and Dorabella in this production…and in a departure from her regular opera-going outfit, she decided to wear it to the show… she loves to imagine herself up on the stage singing gloriously in a charming and cheerful Mozart Opera!

That is a fantastic photo!! Just so perfect. Constance looks as tho she could step right into the production. Love her dress …you are so great at this story and photo thing!!! Thanks for the smiles!!
Thank you! I did make the dress (about four years ago) and take the picture, but the Quimper Hitty’s favourite photographer put it through his processing wizard to brighten up Constance’s face as she stood in front of the computer screen, pretending she was on stage at the MET!
What a perfect picture. I knew that Constance was a star but I didn’t know she could sing.
Constance likes to think she can sing, and she does enjoy standing around on the stage, to be sure…
I love the glow of the footlights on Constance’s face! And she so appropriately garbed. Brava!
She wishes she could curtsey graciously, but though her spirit is willing, her pegs are not!
So glad Constance got to see another Opera, and what a great one to certainly enjoy. Love that her dress matches the costumes.
We have a live performance to look forward to next weekend, and the last Live in HD broadcast the week after! Then it will be CBC Radio’s Saturday Afternoon at the Opera until next season!
