Agathe and Constance on the dock
After blackberrying, the girls went down to the dock and found some little bushes growing in the dock pilings!
Agathe admired the fibreglass boat.

They both thought it was the most serene and restful moment of the day – perhaps of the whole week!

Water surely has a calming effect. Thanks for the calm and the splendid QHs who enjoyed it.
It was a pleasant and lovely evening. We were all feeling virtuous about the amount of blackberries collected (now all frozen and bagged) and thought we would enjoy a few minutes calm by the water…
Pretty!
Thanks – the girls always like looking out to sea!
Love her in her old fashioned apron. She looks lovely!
The Hittys and I thank you! The orange apron was made from a man’s shirt, and I used the collar button to do it up in the back…the Hittys all love it, but I think it really suits Agathe. Constance’s apron is made out of two six inch circles from the 1930’s yoyo quilt, with twill tape ties, and it is reversible.
the QH dressmaker is very skilled. beautiful details – the yellow rick rack at the hem of Agathe’s dress and three little buttons on Constance’s dress. the best dressed girls in town.
Thanks! The girls are used to pins too…Agathe is pinned into her dress for the moment, as I have not yet come across the perfect little button(s).
lovely photos…lovely girls. Madison and Marie Claire are offering to go thru their button box for Agathe….what sort of buttons do you need?
Thank your girls very much – what do they think might work? The problem with that dress is that I keep trying buttons that I think will work and then they don’t. So I don’t know until I see it! I don’t usually have this much trouble with buttons, but this dress is just keeping me in suspense!
The girls have located some very tiny shank buttons in bright orange in their stash.. They would be more than happy to mail
you a few of them if you think they might work. If not for this pinny maybe for something in the future. Always
nice to have extra buttons in the button box. How many do you require?
Depending on the size of the button, and the depth of the bodice, two or three on is usually about right!
we will send them to you by weeks end. Of course that means they will travel for days but eventually should
reach you. Hope they work. If not maybe they will for some other article of sartorial elegance!!
