February Beach Gallery
A wet beginning to February! Agathe and Opal headed down to the beach to see if anything interesting was going on.
The waves create ever-changing artistic effects with driftwood and stones…
…but some combinations seem almost deliberate…
…this Rock Art installation was definitely deliberate…
Opal and Agathe imitated a couple of stones for a moment, but did not blend in very well.
Tucked into a corner of the beach, they found a carved bowl made on a boom log with the chain still attached.
Artists have been painting driftwood…
…and carving driftwood.
Agathe and Opal made some Beach Art of their own!

Oh my goodness we were awestruck by the wonderful and amazing treasures on your beach! I always call Jim to look over my shoulder when there is a new Quimper Hitty post, and we ooooh and ahhhhh together. Such delight!
We were rather amazed ourselves! We like the idea of artworks made for ephemeral enjoyment – the memory gives joy, and we like that these things are just lying around there for people to stumble upon, and that they have been left for the next stumbler-upon…
That beach is amazing! So much art, natural and human. The Bonsai Hittys are very jealous of your beach.
It is the kind of art that you have to stop and notice, or it just looks like natural assemblages. Somehow we saw art everywhere today, and were inspired to make a little bit of our own!

Soul’s gifts receiving.
Your entire world seems to be a wonderful art gallery. And the Quimper HIttys and their person have the grace and imagination to see it and share it with us. Thank you.
We love serendipity! We love to share it!! Thanks to you for encouragement and friendship!
Gosh! And all we found on OUR beach, this week, was an old purple shoe! Still, it was enough to inspire the Pocket Dolls!
Next visit we must have a trip to your beach – no matter what the weather!
The beaches are always interesting around here, but I’ve never found a beautiful purple shoe! I can’t wait to see what Meg, Berry and Peep do with their flotsam and jetsam!
What beautiful beach treasures. Those pieces of driftwood are artistically painted and carved. Nice beach art by Agathe and Opal.
Opal and Agathe liked the way the light made the blue glass glow just as the sun was going down!
