Cedar Box Beds
These deeply discounted cedar boxes were snapped up by the Quimper Hitty Human for $2.00 each…
Fortunately we had a few handy supplies, like ticking…
…and foam, and quilt batting scraps…
.
.
…it only took a few minutes to turn the cedar boxes into little Hitty-sized beds.
.
.
The Hittys discovered the beds are big enough for two, and anyway it is more companionable to share!

Those cedar boxes with the pillows and mattresses have become very comfortable beds for the girls.
They are all comfortable, and we seem to have plenty of blankets!
Now you can bring them all to my house for a sleepover! 😉 Love the portable beds!
That would be fun! Reserve a table for us at Allison’s!
Haha. I sure will, if you’ll come back to visit!
Ahhh! and with a few pieces of wood, 2 of them could be transformed into bunk beds. 🙂 I wish the Quimper Hittys very sweet dreams in their new beds!
Constance and I slept in three-tier bunkbeds when we walked the Camino to Santiago…They were in Viana. The other thing I remember about that town was the delicious wafting scent of chocolate from a factory at the bottom of the hill.
Perfect wooden beds for the Quimper Hittys! The girls have a very thoughtful and inventive Human to provide them with things they need and/or desire.
And luckily there are lots of useful materials lying around the human house, and time to assemble them!
the final photo of the girls all reading in bed is my favorite!! could they be any sweeter?? What a great find those boxes were and what a wonderful transformation!! Good work all.
Reading in bed is a great balm, we think. The girls are all clamouring for pajamas now though…
