Strawberry Dessert
We’ve had hot weather so far this June and our strawberries are coming along nicely.
They are getting ripe one at a time in the Quimper Hitty’s yard.
The humans had Strawberry Tart from Patisserie Daniel for dessert…
The Hittys had a pure unadulterated strawberry!

We are enjoying strawberries here in the Midwest now. Yours look ripe and tasty, but, I’d have to say that it seems like the Hittys looked a little forlorn. Were they missing out on that luscious looking tart?
The tart was good, but I am pretty sure the strawberry was better!
Rose and Hattie are trying not to look too pleased with themselves – Hattie is proud of herself for coddling the strawberry along to this state of perfection, but doesn’t want to jinx the rest of them, and Rose is feeling slightly guilty for being one of only four Hittys selected to enjoy the strawberry. Patience and Eugenia are always a little worried about everything.
it looks like the Hitty human has been busy stitching hankie pinafores. Hope there are lots more strawberries to come.
You are quite right! The Hittys are always so appreciative! There are a few more strawberries if we can keep the marauding deer, rabbits, snails, slugs and other pests away!
Scrumptious! Lucky Hittys and lucky humans!
Yes indeed! Berry season is blissful!
delightful photos! We LOVE strawberries…and your girls. Our very new strawberry patch is blooming a bit…it is also being consumed by weeds!!! It has finally stopped raining so I will attacking those weeks. That tart looks scrumptious by the way.
Thank you – we are very fond of them too! Strawberries don’t much like rain, I hope it stays dry there so you can get a nice crop!
oops..I forgot to say I love the accessories in your photos.
🙂
Yum, fresh strawberries! Wonderful
Yes, we all love berry season. Fruits are so good when they travel short distances from plant to mouth, and are still sun-warmed when they get there!
