Home from Far
Constance and Gracia had a very long trip home, from Bogota to Toronto, to Vancouver, to Victoria, but the whole time they were flying North and then Westward, the girls at home eagerly watched the progress of their plane using a cool website called planeradar 24.
Home at last, and after hugs and kisses, the distribution of presents began…lots of little leather keychains made perfect tiny Hitty-sized books, purses and hats!
…and useful bags to put things in.
The girls also brought home Colombian sweets to share,
And savouries…
Gracia was particularly interested in this sack…
…and its contents…

Yay! So nice to have you all home!
It is very nice to be back, and all the Hittys are glad to be in one place again.
Welcome home Quimper family!!! Glad to know you are safe and enjoying a bit of a rest!!! Thanks for the memories.
Thank you, and you are welcome – we had a great time, and loved visiting Colombia!
Welcome home! All the treasures are delightful 🙂 And were you able to bring home the clever little coconut fibre egg carton? Hope you are over your jet lag soon.
We did manage to bring back the egg carton – it was irresistible! Luckily there is only a three hour time difference between Bogota and Victoria, but the 25 hours of travelling will take some recovery time!
What a wonderful assortment of souvenirs.
We had fun, and the stay-at-home Hittys are happy with their prezzies!
I hope the Quimper Human also got a chance to rest and recuperate! What wonderful gifts the girls brought back for the stay at homes. Oh the stories they will be telling….once they wake up! I really like their hats!
The human is resting, drinking tea, patting the cat and eavesdropping on the stories emanating from the Hitty Cupboard! It is nice to be back, I am reminded of my mother’s expression “Borta Bra met hemma bäst” or “Away is nice, but home is best”
