Reading Adventure
Quimper Hittys enjoy wet and stormy weather, but sometimes it just too wild, windy, and dark outside. This week they have had to find indoor entertainments. Gráinne and Carrot Soup got a stack of books out of the Hitty Bookshelf.
Carrot Soup found a book to read.
Gráinne is not the sort of girl to sit and read a Nineteenth Century novel about manners mistakes and (ew) mush…
…in fact she rejected all the books in the Hitty cupboard, and went and found the tablet. It took her about five seconds to settle down with the illustrated version of Treasure Island!

so beautiful, I always visit and find so beautiful and enjoyable. I do admire what you are doing. Thank you, love, nia
Thank you so much – I love to look for small joyful moments. I am always so happy when you and other people tell me that you find small joyous moments in my blog.
exactly this is great place for me… You are welcome, have a nice day, love, nia
Lovely!
Thank you! Gráinne was happy to find a book about pirates and treasure and adventure!
We’re having a reading adventure at our home, too! Nothing as exciting as Treasure Island, though. Gráinne had better keep her eyes peeled for a sea-faring man with one leg.
Gráinne’s block sister is the peg-legged “Back From The Dead Red” and between the two of them (what with their wily ways and shiny sharp cutlasses) I feel sure they could fend off any threatening marauders.
Aren’t books wonderful? I’m glad you have choices for a variety of tastes. We’re getting some of your wind today.
Books are! Gráinne thinks the best way to read Treasure Island would be under the covers with a flashlight, but the tablet is too unwieldy!
Hi, another great post! Just wanted to let you know I’ve nominated you for the Beautiful Blogger Award in case you have time or interest in participating. Here’s the link: http://marciastrykowski.com/2015/12/10/beautiful-blogger-award/ Thanks, Marcia
Thank you so much for thinking of me for this award, I feel very flattered but I don’t follow all that many other blogs so I don’t think it would be right to accept…thanks so much though
We do so love books here in the country. Makes me happy to see the girls engrossed in tales and sagas.
Lovely photos and such a cozy way to spend a stormy day.
Reading is a good way to have an adventure without getting cold and wet!
