February Beach
Gráinne went on a walk between February storms and discovered that the wind and waves have altered the shape of the beach!
…new driftwood has been deposited…
…and new treasure exposed…
…Gráinne is happy to add the sapphires, emeralds, amber and diamonds to her beach collection.
Gráinne, you bring out the pirate in each of us! What wonderful finds to be added to your treasure…any idea what these precious gems will be used for?
We especially like the blue pieces, and we have a nice cut-glass jar to store them in. A few years ago when our jar was overflowing, we made mosaic tiles, and they are decorating the smallest room of the house!
K, your QHs have such a variety of interests. Thanks for opening so many interesting doors for us to peruse. I like the beach treasures that were found.
Small, translucent and lovely, we love to find pretty smoothed glass at the beach!
a pause between wind and rain is a great time for beachcombing. Love Grainne’s boots.
Gráinne loves her boots too! The boots were languishing in the Hitty cupboard for a few years, until the right Hitty came along – they were given to us by a Hitty friend.
Lucky Hitty to have found such colorful beach treasures!
She is Lucky – she also has a gimlet eye, which helps!
Gráinne is lovely. How wonderful to have that adventurous spirit arrange itself so beautifully on her face.
Thank you so much – I am so proud of Gráinne, and I love her fearlessness and ingenuity. She is a great Hitty to have in the mixture.
Nature gives such unexpected gifts of immeasurable beauty! Lucky Grainne to have the recipient of these gifts! 🙂
She is a glad recipient, and she shares the bounty generously!
what a haul. I am quite fond of Granne’s boots! The perfect footwear for stomping about on storm tossed beaches.
Oh yes – she sure can stomp! She needs a loot bag, I am thinking…
A lovely adventure for a pretty little girl. Her treasures are going to be liked by her sisters
I think so too!
