Tansy in the woods
Into the green forest of Quadra Island! Tansy and her favourite photographer have gone off to do Archaeological work for a week.
While the archaeologists are digging, Tansy enjoys early summer in the woods…picking sweet red huckleberries,
.
.
and admiring the salal blossoms, which will have berries a little later in the summer.
She sniffed the daisies in a little meadow,
and quietly watched a deer snacking on fresh shrubs.
With bunches of little perfect flowers…
…the ocean Spray is in its glory.
Back at the cabin, Tansy admired the afternoon light on the ocean while her photographer friend and companions cooked dinner!
.

wonderful, Tansy is back to her Summer adventures. Hope there are more.
She is a great adventurer!
Lovely. where abouts are you on Quadra. My family moved there when I was a teenager. very familiar sights!
The Hitty’s favourite photographer is on the East side of Quadra – I am not exactly sure where, sadly I didn’t get to go 😦
MAGNIFICENT! Thank you for this lovely gift of beauty! The photo of the deer is incredible! All the photos are wonderful!
The Hitty’s favourite photographer is a dab hand with a camera!
Always a joy when Tansy goes off on an adventure with her favorite photographer. Looking forward to more fun!
Us left behinders are so happy when they can send us regular updates!
How wonderful that the Hitty’s photographer took Tansy on the dig. Tansy looks like she is really enjoying herself in those beautiful woods. The view from their cabin is stunning. I’m sure the two of them will have lots to tell you about when they return.
Tansy is a great explorer! She’s been all over the place with all kinds of people, but I think in her heart she likes going off with the photographer best! We always look forward to their return, and Tansy looks forward to a bath!
What beautiful pictures and what fun! I loved this.
It is a beautiful part of the world, and very beautiful in the woods!
Tansy is excellent company! Our week is now done, but there will be more adventures for her later this year.
In answer to mycolourqueue on Quadra Island our accommodation is along the waterfront north of Heriot Bay, on the east side of Quadra, and our work site on this trip was further north along the east side near Village Bay. Next Quadra trip in a couple of months will see us in other places, probably quite a bit on the north end of Quadra near Kanish Bay and/or Waiatt Bay and probably some time in Open Bay close to the lab and accommodation. We are still in the planning stage for the next round.
Tansy is also booked for a job to share her archaeological expertise on board a schooner in Haida Gwaii in July and expects to have a very good time, whatever the weather may provide.
