Lavender Dreams
Tatty found some lavender…
…and even though it’s a little past the picking-for-sachet stage…
…it still makes a perfectly lovely tussie-mussie…
…and the Hittys have the perfect pot.
Gilly is going to have sweet dreams tonight!

Besides the great stories and adventures, besides the beautiful scenery that you post, and, beside the CUTEST Hittys, you capture such GORGEOUS colors in each of your photos. Thanks for brightening yet another day.
You are welcome! I feel very lucky to live in a place with such scenery, gardens, and adventurously sweet dolls!
Oh, I agree with Becky. The colors and moods in your photos are always scrumptious. I am overcome with lavender envy…I confess. Cannot get it to grow here – even failed with a Spanish lavender. Sigh. I’ll just have to enjoy yours all the more!
Our climate is hot and dry in summer – very Mediterranean! Luckily, lavender grows like crazy – we adore it!
Thank you so much for all the beauty you bring into our lives! And, is that a new kitty in the photos? I love the carpet that Gilly and the lavender vase are standing on.
It is a new kitty – the dolls keep putting out bowls of cream in hopes that the stray cats will have a hearty meal and then move along, but their strategy isn’t working so far.
The carpet was originally a spectacles case – I unpicked the stitching on two sides and opened it out – and voilà, Hitty carpet!
Love them both! 🙂
Reading this makes me want to go out and try to find some beautiful flowers for the Bonsai Hittys!
We love picking tiny bouquets!
wishing everyone in Hitty Land sweet dreams.
Thank you – they are sleeping pretty well these days, and we are all looking forward to a few days off!
We have been growing lavender in pots for a few years now and when our little Lily Bell Hitty saw this blog she asked to have some under her pillow like Gilly. She adores all the Quimper Hittys but Gilly is her idol. Lily is sure that sleeping with a sprig of Lavender is sure to bring her the most wonderful dreams a little Hitty could have. I agree with her.
I think Tatty and Carrot Soup have lavender sprigs under their pillows too! They don’t seem the type to bother with stuffing it into sachets. I have often wondered what a Hitty dreams about – I am sure their dreams are delightful!
we also love lavender AND your delightful photos. Sweet Gilly is such a little darling.
She can’t help herself! It has been such fun having her around.
