They are made using a felt star shape with six wee felt circles on top in a contrasting colour!
Star Stitches
Circles are attached using star stitches in the base colour…
Blanket Stitches
And edges are neatened with blanket stitch in the contrast!

I hadn’t seen the book. The paper heart basket is something I’ve made every year since I can remember, but hers look absolutely amazing!

They are fun to make! Bigger (human-sized) looks great too. You could use a cooky cutter as a shape to begin with
