The Holly and The Ivy
Tuesday went for a walk with me on a chilly and damp morning, and we came home with an idea to liven up the Hitty cupboard!
.
.
“The Holly and the Ivy, when they are both full-grown…
.
.
“Of all the trees that are in the woods…
.
.
“The holly bears the crown.
.
.
“The rising of the sun,
.
.
“and the running of the deer…
.
.
“…the playing of the merry organ,
.
.
“Sweet singing in the choir!”
.
.
We can hear you girls all the way across the ocean in Wales because you are singing so joyously. What a wonderful idea, dear Tuesday!
Love,
Mary and Roberta N-Q-Hitty xxxx
Tuesday loves to sing! We are glad our caroling reached all the way to Wales!
Happy and cheerful girls singing beautifully
Their spirits are uplifted!
Oh! This is so lovely, homey, cheery and delightful. Your narratives/episodes are so full of life, love and kindness. Thank you, dear QH human for such endearments coming from the Quimper Hitty household.
You are so welcome, we love it when we hear the blog posts made you happy.
I love how you have illustrated one of my most favorite carols! Thank you! The deer is amazing!!!!! Well, for that matter, it’s also amazing that you have ivy growing right now!
We made the reindeer a few years ago – he hasn’t appeared in the blog since 2011, I think, though he has lurked around in the Christmas decorations!
What a wonderful and peaceful choir in Victoria. Tuesday has a calming effect upon the world.
Thank you.
Tuesday is a pacific girl – we just love having her in the cupboard!
A lovely way to brighten the day for all of us…love the wall hanging and the holly and the piano AND the wonderful Hitty girls. also like that friendly reindeer.
It was fun setting up the scenes for the blog episode…we had planned to do an outdoor photo shoot, but it was just too wet!
