Cowichan Picnic
One afternoon Tatty and Tuesday went on a long drive north of Victoria, past Honeymoon Bay to a Cowichan Lake campground. When they got there, they had to get out and walk…
.
.
…and they carried their picnic blanket with them…
.
.
…it was quite a trek for small wooden legs…
.
.
…but when they arrived, they feasted on peas!
.
.
…under a tiny shelter made by The Queen of the Campground.
.
.
Then they roasted marshmallows over the Hitty campfire…
.
.
…and after their delicious snack they had a little snooze under a thimbleberry and lichen duvet!!

The queen of the campground is the sweetest of all…her shelter is awesome…what an adorable story this is. Love it!
She sure is a lovely little playfellow. We had a lot of fun together at the picnic, and the Hittys were glad!
My life is about Princes and knights…What a feast to be taken along your picnic with the Queen of imaginary land!
Another wonderful adventure, told with such panache! Love it!
We are so happy that you can accompany us on our adventures…our fun is doubled and trebled when there are kind companions along for the journey.
What quaint, but perfectly suited “hut” and fire for the Hittys. The “Queen” comes well-prepared for whatever seems to be needed at the time for Hitty adventure.
We liked finding sticks and moss for the shelter, it was a level up from just a picnic blanket…the marshmallows were a serendipitous find, we were busy photographing the Hittys and there they were!
Oh what an excellent adventure. And it reminded me of making fairy abodes under the grape vines in our back yard with my sister. We were always in great hope that our efforts would be rewarded with an actual fairy. It only we had known about Hitty!!! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
It was an excellent adventure! The Hittys enjoyed their picnic, and Especially finding the marshmallows! The little house was re-used for some stick people after the Hittys left!
