Kelpie Boat
Three girls went to the beach with the small human.
.
.
They got out of the basket to look at a kelp holdfast…
.
.
…and then the small human created a kelp boat for them to ride in!
.
.
Constance and Carrot Soup were excited to have a ride in it!
.
.
…especially Carrot Soup!
.
.
Constance got to steer the boat…
.
.
…but Victoria felt seasick!
.
.
They went back into the basket…
.
.
…and went right to the edge of the sea, where they saw some big fat dragonflies and a Great Blue Heron…
.
.
…and then they went home again!

You live in such a beautiful area. It is filled with wonderful places to explore and enjoy with your granddaughter. The memories she is gathering will be with her forever. Such blessings for you both…and us too. She is an adorable little girl and has a wonderous knack of telling stories and making them come to life.
We have a good time when we are together…and we are very lucky to live so near this lovely beach!
Ditto to comments above….also, what a wonderful sailing vessel that was created. It seems I noted a variation in Constance’s usual steadiness…she looked a bit unnerved as to what may be coming next, but Carrot Soup looked enchanted all the time.
Constance felt responsible for the other two – Carrot Soup was full of glee, and Victoria full of worry. Young human spotted the boat-like profile and plopped the girls directly in!
This was a fun “mini-vacation” this morning … thank you! I enjoyed the refreshment extremely. What doll is Victoria? She is very interesting.
Victoria is from a thrift store, so I don’t know her background She is printed fabric, all sewn by hand and has no label. She reminds me a bit of a little “Merrie Marie” doll.
I am charmed.
We had a dandy time 🙂
