Tonight is the Autumn Moon Festival!

.
…the Quimper Hittys have acquired Moon Cake! Aurelia hopes that Chang’e the Moon Goddess will bless the moon cake. We all wish everyone a happy Autumn Moon.

What a lovely way to welcome Autumn!
We like this celebration – an appreciation of astronomy and good food…yummy!
Thank you for your kind wishes….I assume your part of the world is full of ethnic peoples and treasures…thanks for sharing them with us.
Our neighbour was a Chinese scholar, and she introduced us to this festival, and the concept of moon-gazing parties. I don’t think we do it “properly”, but I like the idea, and the Hittys always seem ready to try on new outfits and eat tasty treats.
Very cool!
Thanks very much! It is an interesting tradition, and sharing food with friends is always pleasant!
Aurelia’s kimono and headdress are beautiful. She looks amazing in it. Chang’e must be smiling when she sees her in this lovely outfit.
Thank you very much. The Chinese festival garments have extra long sleeves for modesty! I hope the moon goddess approves!
splendid just splendid
Thank you so much – we were all happy to see the lovely bright moon, and to eat cake with our friends!
