Chestnut, Daisy, Dogwood and Lime
From her nest below the Chestnut tree…
.
.
…Floradora discovered some magical Fairy Wings!
.
.
She tried them on and they fit perfectly!
.
.
Then she found a daisy patch…
.
.
…and wove herself a beautiful crown!
.
.
The Fairy Wings were amazing, and lifted her up so she could fly, but the crown fell off…
.
.
…but she was glad that she could fly up and settle in a Dogwood tree…
.
.
…because it is her favourite type of tree – she is carved from Dogwood wood.
.
.
She whispered kind things to the Dogwood tree – Grow strong tree, you are beautiful, I love you, your flowers are so interesting, I am proud to be related to you, thank you for the shade, I am glad you can hold nests for the birds!
.
.
The youngest member of the human family sent Floradora home with a piece of lime cake, and Floradora said it was a perfect ending to a”Fairy nice day”!
.
Oh what a magical day it was, indeed! Thank you for sharing it with us đŸ˜€
The magical Chestnut wings were my favourite…You are welcome!
Thank you, youngest human member of the family, for such an enchanting tale. I really like Floradora’s whisper to the dogwood tree.
Young human said that she has kind ears, so she hears kind things…I am so glad she shares them with me!
This story has earned ” The most touching, sweetest story” award.
We had a very sweet walk home together, and enjoyed sitting under the Chestnut tree, visiting the dogwood and making daisy crowns…Floradora was especially glad to visit her favourite tree!
lovely Fairy tale – so nice to have the youngest one close by.
It was nice – we have lovely walks these days. I enjoyed hearing the Fairy tale develop and progress…little inspirations!
A magical day out đŸ™‚
It was very magical, we were lucky, there was fairy dust in the air!
Such fun and whimsy. Enjoyed all the photos! Floradora might like to know that Dogwood is the state tree of Missouri. It grows wild throughout our woods especially here in the Ozarks.
Isn’t that interesting! The Pacific Ddogwood is the provincial flower of British Columbia! Floradora’s wood came from your part of the world in Arkansas, but she feels a kinship to the ones here. I am glad you enjoyed the photos!
Floradora and the Dogwood Tree – What a lovely story – Enjoyed the pictures
