A Loose End
Rose was at a loose end…
.
.
…until she found another loose end…
.
.
…and rolled it up…
.
.
…and kept rolling…
.
.
…until she ended up at the workbasket with a huge ball of yarn.
.
.
The workbasket is a good place to knit a workbasket dress!
.
.
Rose got right to work…
.
.
…she is happy to have a project to work on…
.
.
…so is the cat.
.
.
what a cute story…Rose is so industrious and so patient (that little cat!!) with her tiny “helper”. Looking forward to seeing the Workbasket dress.
Cats approve of any activity that involves string!
Right you are….much looking forward to the dress. Quimper human sure knows how to build up a plot and keep us on the edge of our seats!
The dress is a quick project – Rose thinks it will be done in a jiffy!
I’m so glad she was at a loose end then found a loose end. The dress is going to be wonderful. I really like the dress and pinafore she is wearing in her photos.
Rose’s dress is pretty, isn’t it? The design is of blackberries so it isn’t quite in season, but Rose doesn’t mind. I made the pinafore from a scrap, I think it is viyella.
Agreed…wonderful narrative and yes, holding on the edge of my seat to see what comes from Rose’s needles…looks intriguing! and such a cozy spot to knit too.
We can’t imagine a more perfect place to knit a Workbasket Dress than the inside of a workbasket!
Each photo is choreographed delightfully. The loose ends…the kittys…the hitty reading the newspaper… love that pot of daffodils…and of course the ending keeps me in suspense for that Irish Green creation in the making.
Rose and the cat led us on a merry chase through the Hitty cupboard, but they have settled down quietly now…
