Apples Big and Small

Big Tree

Aurelia and Arianell climbed a neighbour’s apple tree…

.

.

Apples (big)

….and rode in the basket when we brought the apples in.

.

.

Little Tree

There is also a Hitty-sized apple tree…

.

.

Apples (small)

…with fruit of a more reasonable size for Hittys.

.

.

Peel, core, slice

The kitchen is a hive of activity, peeling coring and slicing…

.

.

Just like the humans!

…all the apples – big and small.

  1. This story is amazing…each and every photo tells its own story…sooooooo sweet…I especially adore the photo of the girls in the apple tree…love, love, love it. You have so many talents, but no one comes close to your talent for storytelling.

  2. Yes, another absolutely delightful tale from the Quimper Hitty household has come our way once again. It looks like harvest time has brought a diverse yield to your tables, big and small.

  3. I just love seeing what the Quimper Hittys get up to. It makes my day. The Hitty size apple corer is adorable, too.I just wanted to say Thank you for sharing all the adventures with us!

  4. They look like delicious apples. For some unknown reason, we only had two apples on our three trees this year. One on one tree, the other on another. They are usually full of apples, so I have really missed apples this year.

What a great little peeler, that is so sweet.

    • In actual fact, we decided that those particular (human-sized) apples were tasteless and mealy, and not worth the trouble of processing – we will decline any future offers of bounty from that particular source. It has been hard to find good apples since our venerable King Apple tree fell over in a storm a few years ago. I am sorry about your apple dearth – perhaps it was too cold out when the bees should have been pollinating your apple blossoms?

  5. These girls have the best equipped kitchen!! LOVE that apple peeler. Apples are such a delight. in any size!!!
Your girls have so much fun.

    • Thanks very much – the Hittys do adore their peeler – I am pretty sure it is from the Re-ment company, but I am not completely sure – it was given to us several years ago. We are looking forward to more apples arriving from the trees in the yard of the parents of the favourite photographer!
