Little Free Library
Min wanted a book, so she went for a walk…
.
.
…she checked out all the “Little Free Library” boxes, in the neighbourhood…
.
.
…including the one in front of the Pizza place!
.
.
The carriage lantern library was full of mysteries…
.
.
…there was a nice variety in this one…
.
.
It is a nice little mansion, but there wasn’t a single book for a person her age…
.
.
…but Lo and Behold at the Little Free Library on our street….
.
.
…Min found one of our favourite doll stories!
.
.
She lugged it home and wedged the book through the front door..
.
…and up to the attic playroom!
We recommend Candy Floss by Rumer Godden…a sweet story about a boy who takes good care of his doll…and we love Little Free Libraries! Min wants to consider making a tiny Hitty-sized Little Free Library for books that Hittys can easily carry home.
.
How delightful! Min surely found a treasure…and what a wonderful concept and opportunity to share in those free little libraries!
She did find a treasure! We had read the story before but had not seen the lovely illustrations until we acquired this book! We love the concept of the little free libraries – there are many in Victoria!
thank you Min for taking us on a tour. Wonderful selection of books and little libraries.
You are welcome! Min and I enjoy small walks and good books – a very pleasing combination.
love the idea of the Hitty size free library….my girls have a personal library but might want to make one for their friends. of course wayyyyy out here in the country those friends would have a long hike!! Love that there are so many wonderful little free libraries in your area. And what a variety of “cases” for them.
We would love to hike wayyyy over to your house to check out your library! The Little Free Libraries are so delightful, their housing as well as their contents!
I so enjoyed reading this blog post! I even recognize one or two of the libraries! We now have a couple nearby us as well.
Thanks! The Hittys love the little Free Libraries – they are perfect little Hitty-sized libraries, if only the books weren’t so enormous!
