Pining

Pineapple

Vanilla found a beautiful Pineapple on the table…

Lodgepole

…which inspired her to go wandering in our potted pine forest…this one used to be our Christmas tree until it got too big!

.

.

Japanese White Pine

This is our new Christmas tree – it is supposed to stay smallish!

.

.

Mugo Pine

This is planted in the earth – it doesn’t get too tall, but it is a bit straggly.

.

.

Alberta Spruce

This is not a pine! It is a prickly spruce tree…

.

.

Larch

…and this is not a pine either – it is a deciduous conifer – don’t those baby “pine” cones look like little cupcakes? They made Vanilla feel hungry!

.

.

Slices

Jane cut the pineapple up into slices of sunshine…

.

.

Breakfast

Vanilla had a delicious breakfast!!

  1. How very lovey and lively! I like how Vanilla found, introduced and utilized the various pines she came across. Wasn’t there a sunshine quilt that made it’s debut at the QH household sometime in the past? That came to mind as I read the cheery narrative today.
