Pining
Vanilla found a beautiful Pineapple on the table…
.
.
…which inspired her to go wandering in our potted pine forest…this one used to be our Christmas tree until it got too big!
.
.
This is our new Christmas tree – it is supposed to stay smallish!
.
.
This is planted in the earth – it doesn’t get too tall, but it is a bit straggly.
.
.
This is not a pine! It is a prickly spruce tree…
.
.
…and this is not a pine either – it is a deciduous conifer – don’t those baby “pine” cones look like little cupcakes? They made Vanilla feel hungry!
.
.
Jane cut the pineapple up into slices of sunshine…
.
.
Vanilla had a delicious breakfast!!

How very lovey and lively! I like how Vanilla found, introduced and utilized the various pines she came across. Wasn’t there a sunshine quilt that made it’s debut at the QH household sometime in the past? That came to mind as I read the cheery narrative today.
We do have a sunshine quilt – one of the girls is snuggling under it right now – dreaming of warmer dryer days!
Beautiful all the way through. I always want to go into the woods with your dolls.
They would love your company!
I enjoyed your piney post very much and the slices of sunshine are very welcome indeed!
The slices were delicious too – perfectly sweet and juicy!
those baby pine cones are delightful! Vanilla is such a dear. The fresh pineapple looks quite scrumptious!
The baby cones caught our eye! we are lucky the little tree is in a little pot so we can see things like that up close!
