Floradora’s Satin Finish
Moving forward…a coat of Interior Satin Finish Varathane

…then drying for two hours before I can sand and paint her features and hair, then wait again, then another coat of finish to protect the paint…these last bits are excruciating!

So beautiful and so worth the wait time!
Thank you – the rest of the Hitty cupboard can hardly wait for her to join them!
She’s absolutely exquisite!!!
Thank you…I think she will be a fine new friend!
If not by now, then soon, soon, soon, that little dear dogwood dolly will don the most wonderful outfit from your hands and say-“thank you!”
She may have to wear borrowed feathers at the beginning, but she is definitely glad to finally be a “real doll” and not a lump of wood in my refrigerator!
U are amazing 🤩
Thank you! I am lucky to have friends and mentors to encourage and teach me!
You have such a wonderful talent for infusing personality into the wood. She is a whole tiny person, much more interesting in wood than a nasty mass-produced plastic object.
The dolls in the Hitty Cupboard are glad that you recognize them as interesting personalities 🙂
OH….she is going to be beautiful!!! I am waiting anxiously for her “reveal”.
Soon, soon! She is hanging around drying for a little longer…and I fear Rose may have a bit more knitting to do…
She is going to be so pretty. Is that Basswood?
Thank you! The blank is from a dogwood tree, and much harder wood than basswood.
