A New Job
Floradora, Tansy and Constance noticed an interesting job posting…
.
.
…Floradora was too young and inexperienced, but Tansy and Constance decided to apply and offer a job-share option.
.
.
They were hired! Tansy works three days, and Constance works three days and the Gallery is closed one day a week. Tansy’s first visitor was Floradora!
.
.
Come right this way!
.
.
Here is a wonderful series of paintings by the talented Anthea Pakington…
.
.
…and visitors are allowed to touch and explore this lovely felted mushroom!
.
.
This is Tansy’s favourite picture – Portrait of Tansy by a very talented local artist.
.
.
Constance’s first visitor was Henrietta!
.
.
The paintings by Anthea are very popular!
.
.
…and so is the touch and explore basket of mushrooms!
.
.
Lucky museum to have such talented employees!
.
.
that’s the sweetest job advert I have seen EVER!
I loved it too – imagine my surprise when, having requested pencil and paper, young human started organising the Hittys so they could appreciate the art gallery properly!
Absolutely delightful! A very bright spot in my dark and rainy morning! Thank you for sharing and inspiring smiles.
You are welcome! Young human had an enjoyable afternoon, I am glad I was there to notice and record it!
Delightful!
Thanks!
Can i get a job there too, please?
I am sure Tansy and Constance would be willing to include you in the job-share arrangement!
Oh My Gosh….this story gets the “Golden Story Award” for best of the year. Absolutely charming. I was taken in from the get go…to the ending. WOW!!! don’t have enough words to describe how much I loved this story.
We love having this cheerful young Human over to visit! The Hittys especially – and they were delighted to spend a rainy fall afternoon in the gallery looking at interesting things!
I know they will have excellent help from a knowable retired museum employee. Is the littlest human thinking of applying? The gallery looks charming, wish I could come for a tour.
The gallery itself was made for me by one of my students when I worked at the museum…she made little paintings too and created the signage and everything – it has been a wonderful little place for the Hittys to exhibit their works of art!
That lovely young lady has a strong gift in communication. It’s marvelous that together you’re building stories~~and~~treasures for us to read. Thank you so much!
She is a delight to spend time with, I feel very lucky. You are welcome, we love this work that we do together. I find it uplifting too.
oh my goodness this made me smile right out loud!!! How totally delightful.
You made me smile at the thought of smiling out loud! It was a delightful afternoon!
