April Rain
Four Hittys gazed out at the April rain…
.
.
…Arianell and Floradora went outside to look at the beautiful purple Azalea…
.
.
…and the tulips (which are developing exotic red edges)…
.
.
…and the newly planted dogwood trees (which are starting to get leaves)!
.
.
Meanwhile, Rose and Willa went to the bookshelf…
.
.
…and spent the afternoon with their new favourite mystery author!
.
.
I want to be a Hitty, so I can sit in one of those rocking chairs with a nice book…
They are beautiful rocking chairs aren’t they? They were made by Albert Nadeau in Quebec!
These girls have surprised me: a mistery author… They like strong emotions.
I think Willa especially does enjoy scaring herself! Rose is finding it interesting, and is glad that this author is not too bloody in her descriptions!
It’s a treat to have such a variety of options to choose to do at this time of year-I’m with the latter-a good mystery sounds great!
Sitting in a rocking chair next to the fire on a damp and windy day – that sounds like a good day to me too. I am not generally inclined to spend time in the garden when it is pelting with rain!
Are Arianell and Floradora twins? they look so alike in some scenes
Maybe it is their raincoats that give that impression? Arianell is older by about three or four years I think (I’ve lost track!) and she is carved from Sycamore wood while Floradora is Dogwood.
I believe both pairs made the right decision! Love all the photos!!
