Turkish Delights
Constance was carved in 2007 while I was on vacation in Turkey, I finished her when I was in Istanbul (formerly called Constantinople, which is why I named her Constance). She recently received a packet of beautiful things from a Hitty friend who lives in Istanbul!

How wonderful to be given these lovely gifts – including this sweet little jacket, knitted by her friend! We love the blue colour, the fancy sparkles and the sweet crochet edging.
.
.
Three little crochet and embroidery pillow covers – so sweet and so pretty!
.
.
We cut little felt circles and scalloped the edges…
.
.
…then Constance stitched…
.
.
…and stuffed!
.
.
…now she has three pillows that are pretty and plump!!
.
.
Three wall hangings were embroidered on the cloth – I attached them to some Acid-free card…aren’t they beautiful? A little cottage, a sailboat and we think some apples on the tree…such beautiful decorations. Our friend made a cute little shoulder bag too, which Constance will put to good use!
.
.
Then she spent some time studying the book about Needle lace, which has lots of photos, ideas and instructions…
.
.
…and re-read the letter of love from afar, addressed just to her!

Tesekkur ederim so much to our Turkish friend for these beautiful hand made Turkish delights! They all remind Constance of the beauty of small things, and the value of friendship! She knows that small does not mean insignificant!
How wonderful to receivers from a friend so far away. Constance is very much loved by people around the world.
We were so pleased with these endearing gifts, Constance was very touched. Our friend in Turkey is a kind and generous crafty person, and guessed her size very accurately!
Small is beautiful.
Small is Beautiful in our eyes for sure – All the Hittys agree!
wonderful
We thought so too – a little package filled with lots of love!
At least my surprise reached you dear Hitty Lady, you know it took times to reach you, because of the pandemic days that effected flights in here and then the voyage, a long voyage. It was like in the past years… Amazing. But do you know, how happy I am, maybe I can’t be there, can’t make a travel to your country but I am there now, once again through your art works and Hitty World. You are one of my special blogger friends, I love your stories, Hitty dolls and yes, your photographs… In this chaotic world (especially in my geography) how nicely touching my own world, with every post story… I can stay forever in this World. I am so glad you liked them and you gave them a life… nia or rengin loves you so much, Blessing and Happiness to you ALL, Love and Hugs, Angels, Muses and the Sun be with you always
These thoughtful and pretty gifts were such a surprise! The pandemic days were a huge interruption in so many ways, but your package arrived at last! Constance and I can’t thank you enough for these beautiful, colourful gifts. It was such fun to imagine your hands making them, and putting your kindheartedness and blessing into them. Constance will wear the little jacket like a warm hug! ❤
And a BIG Thank you to you too, Love, nia
Ben teşekkür ederim dear friend.
and now, after reading comments for several years, I know who Niasunset is. what a wonderful collection of Turkish delights. Constance and the Hittys will enjoy the gifts from far away.
We will enjoy them very much. It is so nice to have these unique and special hand made gifts from Constance’s home country, made by our lovely friend! We treasure them!

Friends are surely a joy! We were so delighted and pleased with these sweet things – Constance says there can’t be too many comfy pillows on the sofa!
I always knew there was something extra special about Constance. She has friends in far off places. Her name is perfect for when she was carved !
She is certainly very special to me – my very first carved Hitty!
