The Quimper Hittys were intrigued by the annual Double Gloucester Cheese-rolling event in England…they thought it sounded fun!

Fortunately for them, Gracia stocks many kinds of cheese in her shop…including a whole wheel of Double Gloucester!

Start
The idea is to line the contestants up at the top of the hill, and as soon as the cheese is released…

pursuit
… they run…

.
Slide
…slip, slide…
.
.
Dive
…dive and roll down the hill, chasing the cheese.
.
.
Finish Line!
If you catch it at the bottom of the hill, you get to keep the cheese!

No Thanks
…and anyway Gracia didn’t want it back!!

What an interesting venture!
Never a dull moment in the Hitty cupboard! They couldn’t resist the idea of recreating the Cheese-rolling competition!
Double Glouster! Yum! Such a fun day but . . . Double Glouster?! LOL
I expect any wheel of cheese would do, but as it takes place in Gloucester…

Cheese-rolling just sounded so silly and fun, the Hittys had to give it a go! It was fun, and the cheese was delicious (once they brushed it off)!
this made me laugh out loud!! What a time the girls had….enjoyed every bit of it!!

The Quimper Hittys are expert at finding fun in odd places! I loved rolling down hills when I was their age, not needing a cheesy incentive!
