We love bringing little bits of the outside in, especially the spicy sweet lavender at this time of year.

We are very lucky that although we haven’t had rain in quite some time, it hasn’t been too hot here.

  1. What a treat to see your beautifully colored garden as we tromped along beside Floradora. It must give you joy to see such pretty colors in your yard.

  2. I have enjoyed your post since around 2007! Sent my sister recently to see your postings too. Gave her a Raines Hitty, bench and trunk. She has a Granddaughter age 8 and they are having some fun now.
My sister told me that she wants to buy the complete carving kit from Judy Brown for both of our birthdas, we were born three days apart plus seven years! Do you know if she is still selling the kits? If so, how can I get ahold of her? I had her address from a couple of years ago but she hasn’t responded yet. Is there someone else who sells the kits and directions?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Peace and Blessings,
    Christine Bridy

  3. Your garden is just glorious! I’ve always dreamed of such a landscape but never managed to achieve it. You must have a wonderful climate to keep everything so beautiful this time of year. It reminds me of my late sister-in-law’s wonderful gardens in England. So envious!:)

    • I do really appreciate thisgarden, especially in the last few years. I do love looking at it and looking after it. I am glad it evokes nice memories for you. I lived in England thirty years ago, and was very happy in the gardens there. Perhaps those memories are bubbling up into my garden!

  4. Floradora, you are so beautiful, I love your dress and your handwork cardigan. The colours I mean all of them in the photographs fascinating me. This is a kind of poetry for me. So good to my soul. The weather is in here, not good. The heat wave hitting us. Every year much more… Have a nice day my dearest Hitty Lady, Love, nia
