Showers of April Rain
On a showery April morning Henrietta visited our garden…
.
.
…where the red and yellow columbine was blooming!
.
.
So was the Gravenstein Apple! The last few days have been sunny and there seemed to be pollinators about. We hope they came to our tree and that there will be apples this fall!
.
.
The lilac was in full bloom, glorious, delicate, and sweetly perfuming the air...
.
.
…and the very first Lily of the Valley stem was valiantly trying to do the same!
.
.
It was really very wet outside…
.
.
…and really very muddy!
.
.
Henrietta mopped the floor…
.
.
…and then made Cock-a-Leekie soup for lunch!
.
.

We were showered with beauty in this April narrative….all so pretty and homey.
April seems to have many showers and cool days lately, which is good for the gardens!
I love seeing all the teeny tools
We are very fond of teeny tiny tools too! I can’t help but try to acquire them when they cross my path…and the Hittys are always grateful!
Henrietta looked like a flower in that rain gear!! She is delightful. Iaughed over the muddy shoes. But how thoughtful that she not only mopped it all up but made her own very delicious lunch. Love the soup box!! Great post!!
The garden is delighting in the rain, but the humans and Hittys are all doing extra mopping lately!
At least Hitty muddy footprints clean up faster than those of Large Husband and Large Doggo, niether of whom really grasp the concept of wiping their feet…
Yes, just a little swipe with the string mop! The Quimper Hitty cats (and the ones in the human household) are not good at mopping up either.
