Mormor doesn’t think she can run that fast, and anyway her Swedish Pancake pan would mean trying to flip seven pancakes at once!

I love her little apron ❤️
Thanks! Jane like it too!
I surely appreciate Mormor’s common sense. She’s a lovely little doll with lovely clothes to accompany that sweet demeanor.
Mormor is a sweet lady – she is based on a portrait of my Swedish great-aunt! She thinks it might be time to change out of her holiday finery, much as she loves it…
I had to Google ‘Swedish pancake pan’ 🤩
I also found it useful for baking Welsh cakes! My human kids loved Swedish pancakes made in the pan with little circles! I wish I could find a little Hitty-sized one for Mormor!
My beloved Danish Mother-in-law made Æbleskiver’s for Shrove Tuesday (and any other time we could convince her to make them because they were such a treat! And while I think the pan might be a bit heavy to carry to run with… those delicious little balls filled with jam would provide energy as you ran!
Oh – Yum! We make Æbleskivers in the autumn when our apple tree gives us it’s bounty!! I agree that the cast iron Æbleskiver pan would be much too heavy to run with, let alone the part about flipping all the little balls at once!
that Swedish pancake pan sounds pretty impressive! Jane is so good to the girls…the pancakes look delicious.
Jane is a great pancake maker, and loves making and eating big fluffy maple syrup drenched stacks! We would really like to find a “proper” Swedish pancake pan for Mormor, as she would love to introduce them to little rolled-up cakes dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with berry sauce!
Mormor looks so cosy in her traditional outfit; it’s at times like this that I sometimes miss weather that’s cold enough to wear woollen clothes! I like a traditional thick Dutch bacon pancake; pannekoeken met speck en stroop. 😛
There are so many kinds of pancakes! Whether wearing wool or linen, we love them all!
Is Jane a Hitty or another type of antique doll person? This is my first time noticing her on a post. Glad she is skilled with making pancakes 🙂
Jane is probably a hundred years old, and came from my grandmother. She spends most of her time in the kitchen. On my computer there is a list of the doll’s names in a column on the right side of the screen, if you click on Jane you should see all the posts with her in the story.
Thanks for the information about Jane 🙂
