May Berries
The Quimper Human and Hittys love berries! It’s only May so the ones in our garden mostly aren’t ripe yet…but it looks like this will be a bumper crop for raspberries…

…and the black currants are coming along!
.
.
There are quite a few gooseberries on the bushes, but we are still waiting for them to produce anything like a bumper crop…
.
.
…but the wild strawberries look very promising! Lots of flowers…
.
.
…lots of little green berries…
.
.
…and one little red berry!
.
.
…Rose took it inside to eat!!
Our cat Blueberry thinks we should get some blueberry bushes (naturally).

love Rose’s apron, of course she is looking for the strawberries. Send me a date and time to go for tea.
Tea with you and Abby was lovely this morning!
I love berries too. The first strawberries are coming ripe in the greenhouses – always a treat.
The first ones from the garden are the very best! Flavour plus satisfaction ❤
I love berries! We have plenty of them, in the garden and in the forest. later in the season that is, we don’t have any ripe berries yet for another 6 weeks or so.
Only a few of the wild strawberries are ready here, and most of the berries will be another month!
About the same as here there 🙂
Three whole gooseberries! You could have a whole Hitty pie.
I love that you can gather food in your own garden.
We have always wanted to make a gooseberry tart! I think there will be enough for the Hittys this year anyway!
You have quite the Hitty workforce, I hope you are paying appropriate wages, ha!
Awesome photos as always 🙂
The Hittys generally get to keep the some of fruits of their labours. Their main job is to be encouraging, and they are very good at that!
That sounds fair 🙂
