Hebe

The Hebe plant is originally from New Zealand, and is named after the Greek goddess of youth.  There are many varieties of Hebe plants with many variations in size and colour of leaf and flower. One of the Quimper Hittys human friends is named Hebe! Carya sits among the lovely lavender flowers.

A few of the Quimper Hittys have gone off on an adventure.  They will return the second week of August, and meanwhile we have scheduled these posts about the summer flowers – some in our own back yard and others in nearby gardens…See you when we get back!
