June Porch Picnic
June is a good time for the first picnic of the year!
.
.
Tansy organised the goodies…
.
.
…observed by a rogue.
.
.
The Northwestern Crow is famous for interrupting picnics…
.
.
This crow was more polite than most…
.
.
…and asked first…
.
.
…before flying off with a macaron.
.
.
Eugenia went off to find a substitute treat…
.
.
…and the girls were happy…
.
.
…until the return of the rogue.
.
The rogue managed to turn a lovely picnic into an adventure!
Indeed he did! A little negotiating and problem-solving is good!
What a delightful picnic they are having. Just love all the little scenes including the rogue crow! Too wet and wild to have a picnic at the moment, but hopefully the weather will improve.
I hope your weather improves too, and the wet and wild wind blows itself out!
What dainty dishes were set before the rogue! Off with him, even though he was nicer than most. You’ve written another very quaint rendition of lovely goings on at the Quimper Hitty Household. Many thanks.
Crows are a nuisance around here – we used to detail one of the kids to scare away the crows when we had picnics, or else they would pick things off as we were setting the table!
A polite crow? Must be the influence of the ever gracious Quimper Hittys. A fun pic nic in spite of the rogue! Adventure is always a sure thing with these girls!
The girls did have a pleasant picnic, and managed to keep the strawberries for themselves!
