Askasleiker

Askasleiker

Min has been advised to leave out a little treat for the Yule Lad along with her shoes.  She thinks cookies might be a good treat and gets busy in the kitchen…cardamom cookies, yummy!

Coral!

Coral!

The sixth Yule Lad to come is Askasleikir, also known as bowl-licker – he comes on December 17th!  Min is excited to get a gift at last – a pile of coral from Stykkishólmur!

  1. Coral in Iceland? Makes it sound like a North Atlantic atoll. I am surprised it is to be found there. Min certainly looks pleased with her present. And I expect that Askasleikir is very pleased with Min’s delicious cardamom cookies.
Did Min, Constance and Patience go to Stykkishólmur when they visited in the spring?
