Icelandic Jólasveinar 6
Min has been advised to leave out a little treat for the Yule Lad along with her shoes. She thinks cookies might be a good treat and gets busy in the kitchen…cardamom cookies, yummy!

She puts her shoes out once again…this time with cookies…

The sixth Yule Lad to come is Askasleikir, also known as bowl-licker – he comes on December 17th! Min is excited to get a gift at last – a pile of coral from Stykkishólmur!

Min’s patience, persistance and presents paid off.
Yes! at last she has figured out the way.
Coral in Iceland? Makes it sound like a North Atlantic atoll. I am surprised it is to be found there. Min certainly looks pleased with her present. And I expect that Askasleikir is very pleased with Min’s delicious cardamom cookies.
Did Min, Constance and Patience go to Stykkishólmur when they visited in the spring?
Only Constance went to Stykkishólmur. The other two stayed behind to play with their cousin.
I’m so glad she got a gift finally, what a lovely thought putting out cookies. Certainly surprising to get coral, very special!
Coral is special to Hittys!
Cookies always work, whether we’re talking about Askasleikir or Toads!
Cookies can solve many problems, especially if accompanied by tea!
Yummy cookies and Min looks so pleased with her coral.
The human household has been gobbling the cookies too! Min is pleased!
