Cosy in the Knitting Bag
Last summer the Quimper Hitty’s human began to knit an infant sweater, but ran out of yarn. Miraculously she came across one ball of the very same wool, in a very odd shop.
Perdita is always cold at this time of year – she was carved in Argentina, where people are now getting out the sunscreen, going swimming to cool off and having Asados in the evening. She is glad to snuggle in the incipient garment while the human knits madly in an attempt to finish it before the infant becomes a toddler!

Perdita is a beautiful doll, and this is a particularly nice photo of her. The nearly-a-toddler is going to be very warm in such nice wool.
Perdita says muchas gracias.
She looks mighty cosy too…happy knitting…love the colors……blessings
Perdita loves to snuggle in the warm wool, especially if there is any green in it.
Hittys with the darker complexions can be difficult to photograph…but you do it so beautifully!! Hope the knitting progresses well and quickly!! We want the infant to be warm!! And colorful!!
My camera is really good at taking pictures in low light, so it is great for pictures of the dark girls. I am on the last sleeve now, and just the buttonhole band left after that (and blocking and sewing and button-sewing!).
