Mothering Sunday
It is Mothering Sunday in the UK, and the Quimper Hittys are helping their British friends celebrate…
A kind Hitty friend sent a recipe for this cake which includes ingredients like Earl Grey Tea and Cardamom – and Rose obligingly scattered dried rosebuds on the tea-flavoured icing…How delicious!

Ahhh, to be remembered in such a way….Mothering Sunday sounds really nice and Rose does a nice job in presenting such a delectable edible for this unique day.
It is nice to have cake on any occasion, and the Hittys are happy to share!
what a charming name for a holiday. Even we non mothers do our own version of mothering. Lovely name.
Rose is such a pretty girl. And that cake looks delightful!!
The cake is really delicious, and praise to all the mothering folk, biological parents or not!
Dear Rose – Can we get the recipe for Earl Grey Tea cake. It looks so delicious. So perfect for U.K. Mothering Day.
The cake I made was a cardamom cake recipe, but with strong Earl Grey tea used instead of milk. The icing is just icing sugar made with a few drops of strong Earl Grey tea, and decorated with roses.
