On Tansy’s short trip to Haida Gwaii, she and her photographer visited the famous glacial erratic – Balance Rock!

Though climbing on it is discouraged, Tansy gave it a go…

but she found it pretty hard going. especially with the overhang…she briefly considered just waiting until the tide came in so she could float to the top…

I think that the tide may have been a bit much, even for an intrepid pair like Tansy and her photographer- so glad that they decided to be safe.
