Vessels
Tansy and her photographer spent most of the time traveling from the North end of the West side of Haida Gwaii to the South. They traveled in a large vessel, and visited small coves and beaches on the way, by means of a smaller inflatable one. Tansy enjoyed exploring both vessels, and learned to find her way around the decks and gangways…
…and found out where all the doors were and where they went.
…she familiarised herself with the safety equipment.
…and studied the Navigation Equipment…
.
…checked out the communication equipment…
.
.
…and the accommodation. Tansy was pleased to have her very own hook for her very own sleeping bag!

Tansy posed by the propeller of the smaller boat…
…and off they went!

Awesome trip – love the hammock video.
Tansy enjoyed swinging in the Hammock while the boat was under way!
Adorable!
Tansy thought it was fun!
Rock a bye Tansy, in the sleeping bag
When the boat rocks, Tansy will swing.
When the boat rocks, Tansy will swing
and she will get a good night’s sleep.
She did get a good night’s sleep – probably as much from working hard all day as from the gentle (and sometimes vigorous) waves!
What wonderful photos! Tansy has the BEST adventures! That is quite the rhythm for her hammock- I’m glad that her tummy is stalwart wood, as it would be distressing to be upset by the motion! Looking forward to more pics of her big adventure 🙂
There were apparently some squeals and shrieks from other members of the party, but Tansy, stalwart as ever, had her sea legs and tummy, and was not bothered bu the motion.
Quite the adventure for such a small doll. Stalwart is a great adjective for her!!
She does seem to get around, and not much disturbs her equilibrium!
Stalwart Tansy! Yes indeed and another adjective might be intrepid. So enjoyed the narrative, the story and the photos. And of course that video swaying to and fro!
Tansy is very glad to have the chance to visit interesting places with interesting people. She hopes to get back to Haida Gwaii at least once more this year!
Tansy’s adventures are nothing short of heroic for such a small person. I haven’t been to the Islands since I was a child, thanks for the wonderful memories. I’m green with envy, not the shipboard motion.
Her favourite photographer is a darling to invite her along, and to make such nice pictures of her while they are off in the wilds. I confess that I am a teeny bit green myself!
I hope Tansy doesn’t get sea sick…looking at the video of her hammock rocking side to side, it will either lull her to sleep or have other more dire consequences! Looks like she had a good exploration of the boat, and there was lots to see and do.
Luckily Tansy has a cast iron stomach, She quite enjoyed the ride, and is a true Hitty with seafaring Hitty ancestors I guess!
That Tansy certainly has a strong constitution!
LOVED the video!
Tansy has been called intrepid, heroic, stalwart, and adventurous – she all of those and is also very happy to crawl into her sleeping bag/hammock at the end of the day! Please mention it to the talented and delightful seamstress!
Oh, I shall have to show our old sailor the latest photos – he’ll so enjoy them. Well done, Tansy!
Tansy is especially fond of boats and boating. She seems to have inherited the Hittyish penchant for seafaring!
