Ducky Day
One day, Aurelia and Amelia put on their raincoats, and they walked down the steps to the beach.
Oh dear, the tide was in, and there was no beach!
So they sat on the bottom step, and looked for ducks.
They looked around for a few minutes and saw lots of waves and some Harlequin Ducks floating in the waves…
…and then they went home again…
…and they had tea and bunny crackers with the ducks.

Tea and bunny crackers are just what it takes after a wallk in the mist…sharing with ducks makes it even better!
Ducks like bunny crackers, it seems! They are a nice accompaniment to tea as well, and very fortifying!
What a great way to end the walk…hospitality at it’s best.
The tea was warming and the crackers excellent! Those Hittys do know how to have a good time!
What a perfect day! So glad that the tide didn’t wash up over them!
The girls were lashed to my shoelaces so they were safe! They did get a few splashes, but their excellent raincoats protected them from the salt spray!
You are so ingenious! 🙂
What a great time your granddaughter is having with you. She gets to play with that gorgeous new Doll House, meet the two new Hittys, Aurelia and Amelia, go on a duck hunt, and come back home to a tea party…every little one should be as blessed as she is with having such a fun and talented Grandmom.
We do seem to be having fun together! I am glad she likes playing with me!!!
whoa…high tide looked a bit alarming but as usual the intrepid Quimper Hittys handled it all with great aplomb!! Love the ducks dining on Bunny Crackers.
The waves were rather active – so we thought having tea with the ducks would be a better plan!
