Beach combing
Tansy invited Eugenia and Tephra down to the beach…
.

…to introduce the girls to the delights of beach-combing.

They found plenty of delights,

It warms the cockles of my heart to see them so enjoying themselves!

And, mine, too!
Tansy is an adventurous Hitty who loves to have fun – and loves to share fun with the younger girls!
She’s a gracious mentor to them 🙂
Ah, no mussels, but still, Alive-Alive-O! Lovely narrative.
We did collect a few mussel shells, but left the alive-alive-o ones where they were!
Treasure Hunting is so much fun, especially in the woods or on the beach.
We were especially hunting for cockles today, and were pleased to find some fine (though chipped) specimens!
Heart warming indeed…what a lovely threesome!
They had a lovely time, though it wasn’t particularly spring-like, the girls enjoyed their little beach outing!
Oh I missed this yesterday! The last photo is just perfect. I love the feeling it evokes. They are so lucky to live close enough to a beach to go beach combing, something I would love to be able to do more often and something I miss dearly.
We love living in salty air, and near the sand and sea shells, even if it means sweaters often (I really should get knitting more for for the Hittys!!)
The last photo is utterly, especially, particularly charming! Not sure why it struck me so much, but I love it!
Ah-h-h thank you, it made me smile too 🙂
It does look like an overcast and cool day there. Today it’s just like that here in Georgia. Sweater weather.
A loving post.

The cooler weather makes the spring last longer, I think! I am glad you enjoyed the girls latest expedition!
that final photo is so sweet. Thank you for warming the cockles of MY heart!
We are so happy!
