Wool Blanket
My weaving friend put a wool and silk twill flame-patterned warp onto her loom. Most of the warp turned into a scarf, but luckily for me and the Hittys, an 8 inch bit of warp was leftover – plenty to make into a luxurious blanket.

The Quimper Hittys have several beds, but the one most suited to luxuriousness is the Glorious Bed.

Constance set about making it up…

…she decided to test it out…

…and decided that the colour, drape, cosiness and feel of the blanket was…luxurious indeed, and rather nap-inducing as well.

The blanket, bed and narrative are extraordinarily beautiful.
We adore the soft cosy blanket – it was so nice of our friend to invite us to weave the tail end of the warp!
Beautiful blanket. It really was lucky for you and the hittys.
It was lucky! We feel very grateful to have such a beautiful blanket in the cupboard.
The Glorious Bed was indeed the perfect spot for that marvelous coverlet. Constance chose wisely and she looks pretty cozy getting ready for a nap.
Constance loves that we had a hand in making the blanket/coverlet come into being – she thinks the Glorious Bed is the perfect place for it!
Oh, my goodness…This is the embodiment of what the word precious means. That gorgeous bed, the beautiful blanket, and the look on the face of sweet gentle Constance. SO VERY PRECIOUS.
Constance is glad that you love it too – she feels so lucky to have such a pleasant and cosy blanket to snuggle up in.
Quite the best blanket ever, and on such a Glorious Bed
Thank you very much, the bed is more glorious with our new favourite blanket on top of it!
I remember this bed fondly…and what luxury to have such a fabulous blanket for it.
I kind of wish I was temporarily small enough to spend at least one night in the Glorious Bed wrapped in this blanket!!
I can imagine that Constance is quite comfortable under her woven blanket, in her gorgeous bed.

I think she may have dozed off and neglected the rest of the housework!
