Ladybug Dress For Opal
Opal waited fairly patiently until I had time to make her a ladybug dress.

.
To make her fancy bodice, I fanned the pleats a little and tacked them in place while sewing the rest of the dress. I think next time I will try making the bottom pleats even tighter.

Opal is not bothered by construction details, she is just glad to have a dress like her sister’s.

The twins new dresses gave them both the same idea…
.
.
…and off they went to hunt for ladybugs!

Another lovely variation! I appreciate seeing the steps involved and your comments too. Wonderful dresses for a fun adventure. 😊
I love my Hittys – they never complain about what I dress them in, even if I can see a way to improve it!
What a pleasant thing to do-ladybug hunting!
One of our favourite activities!
The twins continue to bring light-heartedness…and now these lovely ladybug dresses and hunt for one. Thanks for penning, posting and photo-ing your creativity.
You are welcome! These girls do enjoy themselves, and spread their fun and joy around.
The twins never fail to delight. One of my earliest memories as a wee one, was finding lady bugs on the backside of our privet hedge. It was my first ever treasure find. I love this post and the dresses are so special.
I am always happy to follow the twins, when the take a notion and gallop outside.
Those twins are just delightful. I am sure the new matching frocks have put them both in a very good mood. I am quite a fan of the pleated bodice and plan to give it a try on my next Hitty dress!
Good plan! I hope you have fun making a pleated bodice – I know your Hitty will love it!
