Canary Yellow Dress
Constance thought she should have a yellow dress…
.
.
…so I cut some bits out of a scrap of cloth…
.
.
…and turned the hems to the front and stitched rickrack under the fold.
.
.
Constance thinks it is a nice effect…(I think there might be such a thing as a tad too much yellow, though I would never say so to her).

Constance, you shine! Nice choices, nicely done.
Constance does have a sunny demeanour – and if yellow makes her happy I won’t object!
Constance is ready for traveling… She will add sunshine wherever she goes!!!! Lovely creation!!!
Yes, Constance is on her way to a sunny place! She is a pleasant traveling companion, and I expect there will be sun!
We’ve had so much gloomy, grey, rainy weather lately that seeing Constance in this sunshine dress lifted our spirits.
I am glad it helped! It is a little gloomy here this morning too, but we are traveling for the next couple of days and hope to end up somewhere sunny!
So very nicely done!
Thanks very much! That trick works nicely with plain or woven patterns, but not so well with printed.
The finishing technique is beautiful. Constance will certainly be a bright spot where ever she goes. For those who love yellow, I doubt that there is ever too much yellow. (My husband is part of that group.)
Yes, I think Constance will not get lost in a crowd! I am happy she likes the dress, and it isn’t for me to say what colour makes another person happy!
She is a vision!! A very brilliant vision. Love how you did the rickrack and turning the hems. You are so clever!
I think rickrack is delightful, especially when one edge is showing. Constance is just happy that she has a yellow dress!
