On the weekend a real wolf was on the loose in Victoria! We were advised to keep children and pets indoors. The wolf was tranquilized and released after he was checked out by the vet.  Click Here for a news story about him.

Thanks to the Dollhouse Lady for the Hanky collection from which Vanilla’s dress was made…and thanks to a Hitty friend who made the wee topsy-turvy Red-Ridinghood and Grandma doll!

  1. How to even comment on this loving sweet story… Vanilla and Arianell’s meeting is precious…the adorable look in their eyes, with that sweet felt woof looking on…to the most perfectly wonderful dress and cape to the ending with flowers for everyone’s favorite grandmother, Mormor. You truly took my breath away. I heart you all.

    • We had fun with this story – lots of things combined to make a story…a real wolf in the neighbourhood was the seed…which meant sewing a Red cape, and meeting a grandma and picking flowers…some times a little seed blossoms!

      • Such a good story, so many elements woven in. Don’t forget the key-to-me topsy-turvy toy-to-play-with, the little girl/grandma doll, stirring questions about the red-riding-hood and basket of goodies for grandma – all being so well rounded out by Vanilla and Mormor bonding in the end. And all brought about by that extraordinary news story we heard about a wolf right there in the midst of Victoria! Magical imagination.

  2. How wonderful to have new sisters/friends and to find you have a loving Grandma/Mormor as well. Vanilla is delightful. Really love the wolf tie in…so glad the real one was able to be caught and released safely. I am wishing him luck.

    • We wish the real wolf luck too – he looked disoriented in the little video, but we hope he can find a quiet but resource-rich place to live! We think he’ll be happier away from busy streets!
