  1. Perdita’s gift to Jane is just lovely. Isn’t basil wonderful? We’ve been enjoying ours with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, mayo, bread sandwiches as well as salads and some sprinkled on eggs. Pesto has escaped us this year with basil but we made a big batch of it with our garlic scapes. Tomato soup sounds most inviting too! The QH household has and will have delectable smells coming forth from Jane’s kitchen.

    • We love basil, but usually don’t grow enough of it for Pesto – but we have enough to flavour our tomato lunches in the summer and soups in the winter! Garlic Scape pesto sounds delicious!

  2. Ah yes, Tomato and basil soup is our all time favorite with warm crusty bread.
I am continually surprised by the Hitty sized kitchen equipment at the Quimper Hittys disposal.
    Perdita’s herbs look great.
I’m off to make some tomato soup now. Yum

  3. Lovely!! Perdita might cajole Jane into making some lovely pesto for their pasta! So happy your basil is thriving. That was very kind of Perdita to make Jane her own jar of dried basil. I am also very fond of Perdita’s frock!
