We use lavender in every way. We have a lavender farm close by and purchase soap, essential oils and the flowers both fresh and dried. We love it and so do our Hittys.
It was a cool foggy morning – maybe that evoked the moors! I expect there might be sheltered pockets where lavender could grow, I’ll have to re-read the Secret Garden, and the Brontës to see if there is any mention of lavender there.
So calm and serene!
It was a lovely cool morning, and we are glad you could share it with us!
How exquisite!
Thank you! Some moments are just that – and we are so glad to be able to capture them sometimes!
Simple, attainable and peaceful.
I do find a small glimpse can be very restorative.

It is a very restorative scent I think. My Hittys love it too!
I love lavender! and your lovely photos!! What a calming scene you present.
I am glad you found the pictures calming, I feel so lucky to have the real thing right here, and I am glad to share with you!
This makes me think of Wuthering Heights. For no logical reason as I should think it’s a challenge to grow lavender up on the wild moors !
