Lucia Day 2024
Yesterday was Lucia Day…
.
.
The human is still recovering from the Dreadful Lurgy! Baking lussekatts was beyond our energy level, but luckily one of the other humans in the household was able to make the dough under Mormor’s supervision!

Bravo for carrying the weight of those candles so gracefully. I hope the edible reward was delicious!
the Lussekatter were really delicious! This is the beginning of Christmas in our house!
Hope you fully recover soon. Hugs
Thanks so much! Surely this nasty thing will soon ebb, or dissipate, or just pack its bags and leave.
I am so glad that your family is able to create the beauty that heals your body mind and spirit! I am sending gentle hugs and healing energy! ❤
The family is being very solicitous! I am grateful to them and to friends, thank You!
Hugs continue to flow to you! Wishing you well! ❤
So beautiful embroideried head cap. Dear Hitty Lady, I wish you to get well soon, I am sending my love, hugs and positive energy, Thank you, Love, nia
Thanks so much nia…the cap is made from a little piece of woven ribbon! Mormor looks like my Swedish great-aunt, in festival dress.
You are welcome dear Hitty Lady, the cap is amazing. So creative. I hope you are better, Have a nice day and new week, Hugs and Love, nia
So very lovely visually and emotionally….may your recovery happen quickly.
Thanks, it did my heart good when my family member helped out with the bun-making…it wouldn’t have been Lucia Day without them!
Lovely to see Hitty as St Lucia…and Mormor supervising the baking of such scrumptious rolls. Hope you are soon recovered and well.
Hitty Willa liked being Lucia – she was nervous about the candles, and truth to tell the crown was a bit big on her, but she was a good sport! The rolls were scrumptious… I love that word!
sending hugs down the hill, get well soon. Momor looks lovely dressed up for the holidays.
Thanks so much – I feel I have turned the corner, and will clamber out of the sick-wallow any day now. I’ll be so glad to leave this virus behind, and glad I don’t seem to have passed it along to people I was in contact with just before I came down with it.
Sorry to hear you are still not fully recovered but well done other human for ensuring the day was celebrated.
Luckily one of the other humans in the household likes to make food! Although he thinks baking isn’t his specialty, when I pointed out that it is a bit like pizza dough, he was game to try!
looks as if he did very well.
I am sorry you have been sick! But I have enjoyed looking at all the lovely crafted details in your past Dreadful Lurgy posts. If I were sick, I know those cozy candlelit pictures would make me feel better!
Healing thoughts to the human!
Thank you…we are wallowing up!
