December Morning
On a grey morning between storms, Floradora went on a walk with me – through the snowberry thicket…
.
.
…to the shops…
.
.
…and the gingerbread house display…
.
.
…and home again through the Cotoneaster.
.
.
More wet, soggy and dark rain in the forecast but we feel very fortunate that we have not had flooding and mudslides. Thank good for moments between storms, for gardens and gingerbread!

Yes, what a very nice reprieve for you during these unprecedented times of chaotic weather.
The wet west coast weather has been awful, just absolute buckets of rain pouring down all day. People used to say “at least you don’t have to shovel it” but that’s no consolation this time around. We are indeed very thankful for a short reprieve, and for the fact that our house isn’t floating away!!

Thanks!! We love walking in our neighbourhood, especially when it is not pouring rain!
I am sorry to hear that you are having miserable weather too. It seems important to get out when we can. That gingerbread house is amazing!
That gingerbread house was one of about 30, various degrees of amazing, but Floradora gazed at the details on this one for a long long time! So good to get out of the house and breathe!
yes the bad weather keeps us cooped up indoors and it is nice to escape when it is dry. I have never made a gingerbread house and it would take me too long to eat one but they do look fun.
That gingerbread house is epic! I wish I had the patience to make one…
Your patience is pointed in a different direction I expect…I love just looking at them, but when we make them at our house they are much smaller and less fancy (but still delicious)!
So beautiful, this time of year is amazing, but dear Hitty Lady you are more. Thank you, Love, nia
Thank you nia, you are too!
love Floradora riding riding the marvelous reindeer and the gingerbread house grand – love the tiny chair and mini house.
All gingerbread!!! Everything had to be made of edible materials and at least 18 inches high 1 We were amazed at the creativity!
what a beautiful outing. The shops are great this time of year., and Gingerbread houses! That cotoneaster is fabulous..
We just love the winter-flowering and berried plants, they are such a pretty sight amidst all the greyness and wet.
I want to go to a walk to those shops! Looks awesome 🙂
It was a fun walk between storms!
